Product Details

This beautiful silk-and-viscose oblong scarf features a Tudor rose from a late 15th- to mid-16th-century silk velvet hanging in The Met collection.

An English national emblem—and symbol of peace and unity—the five-petal rose was adopted after Henry Tudor married Elizabeth of York in 1486 and ascended the throne as King Henry VII. The Lancaster red rose combined with the York white rose symbolized the unification of their warring houses.
